A1 – Beginner

  • Understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases.
  • Introduce yourself and others; ask and answer questions about personal details.
  • Interact in a simple way when the other person speaks slowly and clearly.

A2 – Elementary

  • Understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to most relevant areas (e.g. family, shopping, local geography).
  • Communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information.
  • Describe in simple terms aspects of your background, immediate environment, and matters in areas of immediate need.

B1 – Intermediate
